General Dining Policy

Bookings

You can reserve a table in any of the following ways:

  • Visit us in person: Drop by our store and make a reservation directly.


Please see the following for our Reservation T&Cs:

  1. Reservations are best made at least 2 days in advance. For special occasions or group bookings, we recommend making your reservation at least 3 days ahead.
  2. If you confirm your menu selections at the time of booking, a deposit will be required. The amount varies depending on the order and will be advised upon confirmation.
  3. For table reservations without menu selections made in advance, our team will make the effort to contact you to reconfirm your attendance. Kindly note that unconfirmed tables may be released.
  4. For banquets or wedding and menu packages, a 10% deposit applies.
  5. Deposits can be made via cash or bank transfer.


Cancellation Policy

The restaurant’s continued viability relies on reservations being honoured by our customers, and adequate notice being given of any changes or cancellations will be greatly appreciated. Accordingly, the following applies:

  1. Where feasible, our team will actively reconfirm attendance with the main guests/contact listed in our booking diary (up to two attempts on the day).
  2. During peak hours, a 30 mins grace period applies. If guests have not arrived within 30 mins — and we have not received a call update for a confirmation of attendance, or menu pre-order— the table may be released to other waiting guests. 
  3. If guests expect to be late, please call us in advance and we will do our best to hold the table, subject to capacity. 
  4. For all bookings, please notify us of any cancellation or changes in guests count at least 24 hours prior to your booking.
  5. Deposits are non refundable. However you may reschedule once within one month of the original date (subject to availability)


How can I amend my booking?

To amend or cancel a booking, please call us directly at 012-886-2886 or 084-316-389. Changes are only valid upon our verbal or written acknowledgement. 

Bill Settlement Policy

The individual who confirms the reservation will be recognized as the host of the table, unless otherwise specified.

Billing instructions will be taken from the host, unless otherwise specified.

Menus & Dietary Requirements

If you or a member of your group has an allergy, intolerance, or any other special dietary requirements, please inform us at the time of booking. While we’ll do our best to accommodate, last minute requests may not always be possible.

Cake Policy

You’re welcome to bring your own celebration cake. Our team will provide cake-cutting utensils and assist with presentation. Please note that you are responsible for ensuring the cake is in good condition upon arrival and must inform our team of any special storage needs.

Beverage, BYO & Glassware Policy

Guests are welcome to bring their own alcohol, excluding carbonated beverages. Breakage of any glassware will be chargeable at RM10++ per piece.

Gift and Pre-payment

If you’d like to extend a dining treat or meal voucher to a guest dining with us, please call us at 084-316-389 or 012-886-2886, we will be happy to organise this for you. 

WheelChair & Elder Friendly

Great news! A guest lift is now available at Golden Happiness for easy access to the restaurant. 

Table/Venue Rental

Outside food not prepared by Golden Happiness may be consumed on our premises with a venue charge of RM100 per table. Please note that only the main meal may be brought in — outside drinks, snacks, desserts, or condiments are not permitted. All beverages and accompaniments i.e. peanut must be ordered from the restaurant. Standard corkage and BYO policies remain applicable.

Extended Dining Charges

Dining that extends beyond the restaurant’s official closing hours at 9:30pm will incur an additional charge of RM200 per hour. Please note that the last order is at 8pm and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to our operating schedule.

Additional Request

Please feel free to contact us if you have any additional or specific dietary requirements and we will do our best to accommodate your request. Please let our staff know when making your order.

Festive Policy

Festive Reservation and Cancellation Policy

This policy applies exclusively during the festive period, and supersedes all standard reservation and cancellation policies. 

Reservation Deposit: 

  • A deposit is required when confirming your menu. Deposits are non-refundable, and bookings are confirmed only upon receipt of payment and acknowledgement.

Cancellation/Change on Actual Day 

  • No refund of any forms of deposit 
  • No cancellation of reservation 
  • No changes to reservation date/time 
  • No exchange for restaurant vouchers 

Exception: If an emergency occurs, you must provide a brief explanation/evidence. We may allow one change of reservation date (subject to availability); the deposit remains non-refundable and will be carried forward to the new date.

Cancellation on 1 day and more in advance

  • You may change your reservation date once (subject to availability) 
  • No refund of any deposit will be issued

Wedding Policy

Wedding Date Postponement

Yes, you can postpone it for up to a maximum duration of 12 months (subject to availability).

Tea Ceremony

Yes, most couples do a tea ceremony in the afternoon just before the banquet. The team can provide a stage area, tea set table, and basic seating if requested in advance.

Menu Upgrade

Yes, upgrades are available with a surcharge and can be applied to the chosen options in the wedding menu package. Please select from the pre-set course choices; off-menu substitutions aren’t available.

Menu Tasting

A menu tasting for 10 pax (1 table) is available after menu selection. A tasting fee will be applied. 

Vegetarian or Halal Options

We have vegetarian options available, and our kitchen can prepare pork-free and alcohol-free meals upon request. Golden Happiness isn’t halal-certified, but we’ll do our best to meet your needs wherever possible.

AV Equiments

The standard package includes wired microphones, a mixer/PA system, and access to a projector or LED screen (third floor). Please provide your own USB drive for any video playback.

Live Band, Photographer & Emcee

We’ve partnered with local wedding photographer and live band to provide couples with a complete and seamless wedding or event experience. Guests hosting their events with us enjoy special package rates through our recommended partners. Click here to learn more.

For emcee services, please engage your own and share the event rundown at least one week in advance.

Decor & Styling

Our in-house décor package typically includes stage backdrop, main table flowers, and simple table centerpieces.

Confetti, Sparklers & Special Effects

Dry ice, paper confetti, sparklers, and smoke machines are allowed, provided they are used modestly and do not cause disturbance or damage.

Bridal Room

Great news! We now provide a private changing/rest area on the third floor. Please let our staffs know in advance and we will arrange access key. 

Parking

On-site and nearby parking is available; complimentary parking depends on your package. Typically, we will reserve 1 parking lot for the wedding car at the main entrance for easy access and photos. Please share plate numbers upon your booking so we can tag the bays and place signage.

If you have a specific request for the seating arrangement, please submit a final table list and floor plan 5-7 days before the banquet.

Terms and Conditions

Intellectual Property Rights

Unless otherwise indicated, the Site is our proprietary property and all source code, databases, functionality, software, website designs, audio, video, text, photographs, and graphics on the Site (collectively, the “Content”) and the trademarks, service marks, and logos contained therein (the “Marks”) are owned or controlled by us or licensed to us, and are protected by copyright and trademark laws and various other intellectual property rights and unfair competition laws of the United States, foreign jurisdictions, and international conventions.

The Content and the Marks are provided on the Site “AS IS” for your information and personal use only. Except as expressly provided in these Terms of Use, no part of the Site and no Content or Marks may be copied, reproduced, aggregated, republished, uploaded, posted, publicly displayed, encoded, translated, transmitted, distributed, sold, licensed, or otherwise exploited for any commercial purpose whatsoever, without our express prior written permission.

Provided that you are eligible to use the Site, you are granted a limited license to access and use the Site and to download or print a copy of any portion of the Content to which you have properly gained access solely for your personal, non-commercial use. We reserve all rights not expressly granted to you in and to the Site, the Content and the Marks.


Prohibited Activities

You may not access or use the Site for any purpose other than that for which we make the Site available. The Site may not be used in connection with any commercial endeavors except those that are specifically endorsed or approved by us.

As a user of the Site, you agree not to:

  1. systematically retrieve data or other content from the Site to create or compile, directly or indirectly, a collection, compilation, database, or directory without written permission from us.
  2. make any unauthorized use of the Site, including collecting usernames and/or email addresses of users by electronic or other means for the purpose of sending unsolicited email, or creating user accounts by automated means or under false pretenses.
  3. use a buying agent or purchasing agent to make purchases on the Site.
  4. use the Site to advertise or offer to sell goods and services.
  5. circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with security-related features of the Site, including features that prevent or restrict the use or copying of any Content or enforce limitations on the use of the Site and/or the Content contained therein.
  6. engage in unauthorized framing of or linking to the Site.
  7. trick, defraud, or mislead us and other users, especially in any attempt to learn sensitive account information such as user passwords;
  8. make improper use of our support services or submit false reports of abuse or misconduct.
  9. engage in any automated use of the system, such as using scripts to send comments or messages, or using any data mining, robots, or similar data gathering and extraction tools.
  10. interfere with, disrupt, or create an undue burden on the Site or the networks or services connected to the Site.
  11. attempt to impersonate another user or person or use the username of another user.
  12. sell or otherwise transfer your profile.
  13. use any information obtained from the Site in order to harass, abuse, or harm another person.
  14. use the Site as part of any effort to compete with us or otherwise use the Site and/or the Content for any revenue-generating endeavor or commercial enterprise.
  15. decipher, decompile, disassemble, or reverse engineer any of the software comprising or in any way making up a part of the Site.
  16. attempt to bypass any measures of the Site designed to prevent or restrict access to the Site, or any portion of the Site.
  17. harass, annoy, intimidate, or threaten any of our employees or agents engaged in providing any portion of the Site to you.
  18. delete the copyright or other proprietary rights notice from any Content.
  19. copy or adapt the Site’s software, including but not limited to Flash, PHP, HTML, JavaScript, or other code.
  20. upload or transmit (or attempt to upload or to transmit) viruses, Trojan horses, or other material, including excessive use of capital letters and spamming (continuous posting of repetitive text), that interferes with any party’s uninterrupted use and enjoyment of the Site or modifies, impairs, disrupts, alters, or interferes with the use, features, functions, operation, or maintenance of the Site.
  21. upload or transmit (or attempt to upload or to transmit) any material that acts as a passive or active information collection or transmission mechanism, including without limitation, clear graphics interchange formats (“gifs”), 1×1 pixels, web bugs, cookies, or other similar devices (sometimes referred to as “spyware” or “passive collection mechanisms” or “pcms”).
  22. except as may be the result of standard search engine or Internet browser usage, use, launch, develop, or distribute any automated system, including without limitation, any spider, robot, cheat utility, scraper, or offline reader that accesses the Site, or using or launching any unauthorized script or other software.
  23. disparage, tarnish, or otherwise harm, in our opinion, us and/or the Site.
  24. use the Site in a manner inconsistent with any applicable laws or regulations.
